MV AGUSAKI Dear Tomcat: Whilst riding my friends
Honda scooter around Japan recently. I saw something out the corner
of my eye, that caught my attention. I can spot a MV Agusta at 500 paces
anytime. So I did a U-turn to investigate. What type of MV Agusta would
it be, I asked myself as I made my way across eight lanes of traffic
to reach it. It was in the window of a clothing store that sold 'The
motorcycling lifestyle'. Would it be a converted 750 America, or 850
Monza or 1000 Corona? I looked at it for about 30 seconds scratching
my head. It didn't look quite like any MV I'd seen before. Maybe it
was a Pukka Works bike (Factory Racer.) After a few minutes it struck
me. It's either a Kawasaki Z-1 900 or Z-2 750 made to look like
a MV Agusta. Take a close look at the handmade Arturo Magni style
mufflers, and the tank seat unit. I really like the gray painted engine,
to replicate the sandcasting of a MV Agusta. Regards, Clive Dear Tomcat. This is the bike the MV Agusta - Kawasaki was trying to replicate.
Please post all three pictures to message board, and web site. Regards, Clive |
