Clive's Collection At the Moss Wright Car and Bike Show in 2002. Note Jim Knights amazing H-2A in the background. My color choice was an Audi car color. Allen Millyards bikes are in the spirit of the original design, not restorations. This picture was taken at the 'Classic Mechanics' show at Stafford England in 2000. It was the first time I'd seen it finished. Hence the big grin on my face. This is the first bike Allen Millyard an I built. We did this together in 1999. I restored all the components, whilst Allen worked wonders on the engine. He did the final assembly in 2000. At the Nashville Car and Bike show, where it won first place. I think Jim Knights 73 H-2A should have won, because his restorations are so good The biggest single engine two stroke motorcycle in the world at 1303cc. It's hard to pick your favorite. I think I like the style of the 70 most, but the 73 has more presence. This is how my triples collection stands right now. But wait a few more months, and another will join the gang. Finished, and back home. This bike started life with me in Louisville Kentucky in 1999. I found it at the back of an aircraft hanger at Bowman Field. There was a 1971 junker sister ship with it. I'm glad I could save it, and give it a new lease on life. This picture was taken at the 'Classic Mechanics' show at Stafford England in 2000. It was the first time I'd seen it finished. Hence the big grin on my face. |
